BRIEFLY Mental health system overhaul urged The provision of “core institutional, residential and community” mental health and addiction services in every region of the province, system “navigators” to help patients negotiate appropriate services (such as “housing, income support, employment, peer support and recreational opportunities”), and an overhaul of government management of mental health and addictions programs are among recommendations emerging from the final report of the Ontario Parliament’s Select Committee on Mental Health and Addictions.
